SOC
Analyst
The role of the SOC Analyst is to maintain proper operating and performance levels for the 5Q Partners document repository and knowledge base. This individual will be directly responsible for entering, organizing and maintaining all documentation submissions for the 5Q Partners knowledge base system. The documentation specialist is also responsible for routine auditing and overall quality assurance of knowledge articles stored in the repository.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop new signatures and correlated searches based on a variety of requirements.

Document work within a security operation ticketing system.

Identify data sources and analytics for inclusion into SIEM.
-
Manage and administer a SIEM, develop reports and other capabilities to support the needs of our clients.

Security test and evaluation.
-
Development of security policies, processes, and procedure.
-
Development and delivery of presentations.
-
STIG/Checklist auditing.
-
Security monitoring, analysis, and incident response.
-
Workload estimating.
-
Tracking, and reporting of security patch/upgrade implementation.
-
Conducting security audits.
-
Scheduling, execution and tracking of vulnerability remediation activities.
-
Security product trade studies.
-
Information gathering, port and vulnerability scanning and analysis according to policy.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Prefer 2yrs Managed Services experience•
-
Prefer 2yrs of Technical Writing experience
-
Prefer 4yr degree in Computer Science or equivalent
-
Experience with Azure, Microsoft Sentinel, Logic Apps, and Defender for Endpoint
-
Prior Knowledge Repository management a plus
-
Ability to learn and support new applications.

Requires sound interpersonal skills
