Imaging and Staging Technician
Purpose of Position:
The primary role of the Imaging and Staging Technician is to support the managed services and project teams with preparation of equipment prior to deployment and installation. The Imaging and Staging Technician works with the Inventory Team Lead to pull equipment from inventory, update firmware, install 5Q software and configure equipment for 5Q internal use or for external use based on the specific client’s needs. In addition, this individual may support the Shared Services team in the packaging and shipment of hardware devices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Install all 5Q and client related software on new equipment based on the technical set up requirements for the particular client/end user.

Test all imaged hardware to ensure all components are fully functioning and operational prior to deployment.

Work with the Shared Services inventory and procurement personnel to ensure adequate inventory levels for each client.

Work with the project management team to ensure all orders are processed in an accurate and timely manner.

Communicate with the Project Management Team, Managed Services Team and Shared Services team on a regular basis to ensure all client teams are up to date with the latest information.

Work with the Engineering team to ensure understanding of all client and internal image files (image files to be provided by engineering).

Follow documented process and document all necessary tracking data in ticketing system and/or equipment tracker spreadsheet.

Support the Inventory Team Lead with packing and shipping of outgoing equipment during peak times.

Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
-
1-2 years in help desk support preferred.

Solid understanding of computer configurations and software set up.

Solid understanding of Windows operating systems.

Ability to multi-task and work independently

Ability to learn and support new applications.

Requires sound interpersonal skills
Physical Demands / Work Environment

Ability to use a keyboard to enter and retrieve data

Must have good eyesight to view computer monitor and phone

Lifting and/or carrying of 15-30 lbs. or more
