5Q is the authority for technology management in all sectors of commercial real estate. 5Q provides the full spectrum of IT solutions through four service teams – 5Q LeadRE, 5Q Connect, 5Q Cyber and 5Q TechIQ. Headquartered in Atlanta, with offices in Dallas, Washington, D.C., Minneapolis, and New York City, 5Q helps clients maximize technology efficiency, security and compliance. The company’s team of operators and consultants have all established their careers in industry-specific business processes and technology solutions. 5Q understands the intricacies and inner workings of commercial real estate's legacy technology systems.

Our Story

The name 5Q originated from years of “fifth quarter” conversations following college football games when our founding partners spent hours talking about their work as technology professionals. They wanted to make the utilization and adoption of technology better for their employers, their team members, and themselves. They wanted business leaders to look at technology as a key component of their business growth and not just email, phones, and servers, and start to view it as the key to their business growth.


And so, 5Q was born. Each of our founding and executive partners brings a unique skill set, and every client gets the benefit of our entire breadth of experience that leverages more than 100 years of combined technology experience as well as decades of industry-specific business processes and technology solutions in commercial real estate. Meet The Team

  • Wade joined 5Q as CEO in 2015. Channeling 30+ years of experience in Big 4 accounting, consultancy and technology entrepreneurialism, Wade has been instrumental in accelerating 5Q’s growth and maturity to become THE authority in IT and Cybersecurity for the commercial real estate industry. Wade’s specific focus with 5Q is identifying client and industry needs, then ensuring 5Q continually evolves to deliver exceptional client service and operational excellence. Wade also strives to leverage the company’s core belief in “succeeding by serving” - going above and beyond to provide insights and solutions that are outside of 5Q’s service offerings in an effort to foster best practices across the industry.

  • As President, Don is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, cyber security strategy, and direction of 5Q’s four service lines. Don is an accomplished, award winning C-Level technology executive as Global CIO and CISO, with a distinguished 37-year career of providing robust technology and cyber security solutions to enable business growth. He possesses over 22 years of commercial real estate experience across all lines of business with the largest commercial real estate services, investment management, and development company in the world. Don is focused on establishing collaborative, long-term relationships with 5Q’s  clients.  Don is also on the Advisory Board of several Proptech companies and serves as President of the Board for a Dallas all-girls high school.

    President & CISO

  • As Chief Operating Officer, Veronica is responsible for all business operations within our four 5Q Service Lines.  For the past 25 years, she has focused her career on delivering outstanding measurable outcomes and providing real solutions to very complex problems for companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 organizations.  Prior to 5Q, she led multiple strategic initiatives as part of the global digital and technology governance organization for the largest commercial real estate services company in the world.    She is a transformation catalyst with years of experience leading change and delivering large and complex technology, process and people initiatives across multiple industries.   She currently holds a patent in technology for third-party payment account services and chairs the DFW WiCys affiliate.

  • Trey co-founded 5Q in 2014, bringing 20 years of IT and Big 4 Management Consulting experience. Originally, Trey built and oversaw the Managed Services division of 5Q. His current focus is account management and client leadership for the company. Prior to 5Q, Trey has spent time on all sides of technology, including Business Intelligence, Application Development and Operations Leadership, often providing those skills to numerous Fortune 500 companies as a management consultant. Most recently, Trey worked with the other co-founders at Wells Real Estate Funds where they developed a passion for the Commercial Real Estate market, thus forming 5Q to give back to the industry.

  • As CFO, Trudy provides strategic financial leadership and manages all 5Q shared services functions including finance, purchasing, and HR, bringing broad organizational, process, and financial management experience to 5Q. Prior to joining 5Q, she operated her own consulting firm, and often served in interim C-Suite roles (COO/CFO), enabling rapid growth and financial success for clients through strategic financial leadership. Preceding her consulting years, Trudy served in a number of strategic, high-performance roles, including COO of a home improvement franchise, Controller of a Commercial Real Estate firm, and various progressive roles with Fortune 500 corporations.

  • John leads all of 5Q’s business process and application consulting solutions. He has deep expertise in the integration of applications and infrastructure required to enable real estate and alternative investment business processes. The first half of his 22+ year career was delivering accounting and ERP systems to a multitude of Fortune 500 companies. The second half has been in industry-specific applications and solutions for real estate and alternative investment companies.

  • Gregg co-founded 5Q in 2014, leveraging 30 years of broad IT experience providing technology services to numerous organizations. Gregg’s primary focus is account management for 5Q clients, helping them leverage technology to drive maximum business value. Prior to 5Q, Gregg served as Enterprise Architect at Wells Real Estate Funds, delivering transformative technology solutions to Wells and several REIT spin-offs.

  • Rob focuses on 5Q’s Strategic Leadership Services and serves as the outsourced Chief Information Officer for some of our larger clients. Rob has served most of his 25-year career in positions of IT leadership. The past 15 years have been focused in the areas of project portfolio management, policy and procedure development, vendor and contract management, personnel management, cross organizational leadership, and executive collaboration. His combined experience as both an external consultant and an internal technology leader uniquely positions him to provide business value to our real estate and alternative investment clients.
